TRAUMA AND PREGNANCY TEAM
The Trauma and Pregnancy Team has completed a manuscript examining whether screening for adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) during prenatal care should be recommended. The team reviewed the evidence on associations between ACEs and pregnancy-related outcomes, as well as the potential benefits, limitations, and clinical implications of incorporating ACE screening into prenatal care. The goal of this work is to better understand whether ACE screening can meaningfully inform trauma-informed and preventive approaches to maternal healthcare. The team is currently reviewing feedback and preparing the manuscript for journal submission.
